Alpine char - Salveiunus alpinus is for many people the fish of all fish. It is often found in fairly shallow water or on banks in the middle of the lake. The chance of you cathing an alpine char is most likely in the early morning hours or during the afternoon. The alpine char moves in shoals underneath the ice, so if you manage to catch one there are probably plenty moore of the same around. You have to be fast once the fish bites!
Fry the newly caught fish in butter over the fire, remember to use plenty of salt. Place the fish in thin white bread, sit down on a reindeer pelt and enjoy!
