| The antlers of the reindeer provide a hard, durable and useful
material. You can make knives, spoons and plenty of other things using the antlers. Wood is another useful material, amongst the Sámis, the birch has been used the most. Using birch you can make drinking vessels and bowls for example. Traditionally it is the Sámi men that has crafted in wood and antler, the traditional material used by Sámi women are reindeer hide, rooth and different kinds of textile. |
